Masruq reported,

I was reclining at Ayesha's side when she said, "Abu Ayesha, I was the first to ask the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about this. He said, 'That was Jibreel. I have not seen him in the form in which he was created except twice. I saw him descending from the sky, the immensity of his form filling what lies between the sky and the earth.'"

حدثنا يزيد قال أخبرنا داود عن عامر

عن مسروق قال

كنت متكئا عند عائشة فقالت يا أبا عائشة أنا أول من سأل رسول الله ﷺ عن هذه قال ذلك جبريل لم أره في صورته التي خلق فيها إلا مرتين رأيته منهبطا من السماء سادا عظم خلقه ما بين السماء والأرض
