The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said during the illness in which he died, "Pour over me water from seven waterskins whose ties have not been undone, so that I may find relief and give my final instructions to the people."Ayesha said, "We sat him in a copper tub belonging to Hafsah and poured water over him from those waterskins until he began signaling to us that we had done enough. Then he went out."
قال الزهري فأخبرني عروة أو عمرة
قال رسول الله ﷺ في مرضه الذي مات فيه صبوا علي من سبع قرب لم تحلل أوكيتهن لعلي أستريح فأعهد إلى الناس قالت عائشة فأجلسناه في مخضب لحفصة من نحاس وسكبنا عليه الماء منهن حتى طفق يشير إلينا أن قد فعلتن ثم خرج
