Ayesha reported,

A woman came to her and said, "My daughter's hair has fallen out. May we put something on her head to beautify her?"She replied, "I heard a woman ask the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about the very same thing you are asking about, and he said, 'Allah has cursed the woman who joins hair and the one who has it joined for her.'"

عن عائشة قالت

جاءتها امرأة فقالت ابنة لي سقط شعرها أفنجعل على رأسها شيئا نجملها به قالت سمعت امرأة تسأل رسول الله ﷺ عن مثل ما سألت عنه فقال لعن الله الواصلة والمستوصلة
