Muhammad bin Qays reported,

One day he said, "Shall I not tell you about myself and about my mother?" We thought he meant the mother who gave birth to him.Ayesha said, "Shall I not tell you about myself and about the Messenger of Allah ﷺ?"I said, "Yes, please."He said that she said, "On the night when it was my turn to have the Prophet ﷺ with me, he came in, set down his cloak, took off his sandals and placed them by his feet, spread the edge of his lower garment on his bed, and lay down. He waited only long enough to think I had fallen asleep, then quietly took up his cloak, quietly put on his sandals, opened the door and went out, then closed it gently behind him.I put my shift over my head, covered myself with a head cover, wrapped my waist-wrap around me, and set out after him until he came to al-Baqi. He stood there a long time, then raised his hands three times, then turned away. I turned away too. He walked quickly, so I walked quickly. He broke into a jog, so I jogged. He ran, so I ran. I outpaced him and went inside, and I had only just lain down when he entered.He said, 'What is the matter with you, Aaisha, breathing so heavily and looking flushed?'I said, 'Nothing, Messenger of Allah.'He said, 'You will tell me, or the Subtle, the All-Aware will tell me.'I said, 'Messenger of Allah, may my father and mother be ransomed for you,' and I told him.He said, 'So you were the figure I saw in front of me?'I said, 'Yes.'He gave me a shove on the back that hurt me, and said, 'Did you think that Allah and His Messenger would deal unjustly with you?'"She said, "Whatever people conceal, Allah knows it?"He said, "Yes. Jibreel came to me when you saw me. He called out to me, but he kept it from you, so I answered him while keeping it from you. He would not enter your presence after you had taken off your clothes, and I thought you had fallen asleep, so I disliked waking you, and I feared you would be frightened. He said, 'Your Lord, Mighty and Majestic, commands you to go to the people of al-Baqi and seek forgiveness for them.'"She said, "What should I say, Messenger of Allah?"He said, "Say, 'Peace be upon the inhabitants of these dwellings from among the believers and the Muslims. May Allah have mercy on those of us who have gone before and those who are to come, and we, Allah willing, will join you.'"

حدثنا حجاج أخبرنا ابن جريج قال حدثني عبد الله رجل من قريش أنه سمع

محمد بن قيس بن مخرمة بن المطلب أنه قال

يوما ألا أحدثكم عني وعن أمي فظننا أنه يريد أمه التي ولدته قالت عائشة ألا أحدثكم عني وعن رسول الله ﷺ قلت بلى قال قالت لما كانت ليلتي التي النبي ﷺ فيها عندي انقلب فوضع رداءه وخلع نعليه فوضعهما عند رجليه وبسط طرف إزاره على فراشه فاضطجع فلم يلبث إلا ريثما ظن أني قد رقدت فأخذ رداءه رويدا وانتعل رويدا وفتح الباب فخرج ثم أجافه رويدا فجعلت درعي في رأسي واختمرت وتقنعت إزاري ثم انطلقت على أثره حتى جاء البقيع فقام فأطال القيام ثم رفع يديه ثلاث مرات ثم انحرف فأسرع فأسرعت فهرول فهرولت فأحضر فأحضرت فسبقته فدخلت فليس إلا أن اضطجعت فدخل فقال ما لك يا عائش حشياء رائبة قالت قلت لا شيء يا رسول الله قال لتخبرنني أو ليخبرني اللطيف الخبير قالت قلت يا رسول الله بأبي أنت وأمي فأخبرته قال فأنت السواد الذي رأيت أمامي قلت نعم فلهزني في ظهري لهزة فأوجعتني وقال أظننت أن يحيف عليك الله ورسوله قالت مهما يكتم الناس يعلمه الله قال نعم فإن جبريل عليه السلام أتاني حين رأيت فناداني فأخفاه منك فأجبته خفيته منك ولم يكن ليدخل عليك وقد وضعت ثيابك وظننت أنك قد رقدت فكرهت أن أوقظك وخشيت أن تستوحشي فقال إن ربك جل وعز يأمرك أن تأتي أهل البقيع فتستغفر لهم قالت فكيف أقول يا رسول الله فقال قولي السلام على أهل الديار من المؤمنين والمسلمين ويرحم الله المستقدمين منا والمستأخرين وإنا إن شاء الله للاحقون
