Children would be brought to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ so that he could place a chewed date in their mouths and bless them. Once a child urinated on his lap, so he called for water and poured it over the spot where the urine had fallen.
حدثنا عبد القدوس بن بكر بن خنيس قال أخبرنا هشام عن أبيه
كان رسول الله ﷺ يؤتى بالصبيان فيحنكهم ويبرك عليهم فبال في حجره صبي فدعا بماء فأتبع البول الماء
