I used to apply the finest perfume I could find to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ when he entered the state of ihram. Aswad said, "So much so that I could see the glistening of the perfume on his head and beard."
حدثنا وكيع عن إسرائيل عن أبي إسحاق وأسود قال أخبرنا إسرائيل عن أبي إسحاق عن عبد الرحمن بن الأسود عن أبيه
كنت أطيب رسول الله ﷺ عند الإحرام بأطيب ما أجد قال أسود حتى إني لأرى وبيص الطيب في رأسه ولحيته
