Abdullah bin Abu Qays reported,

I asked Ayesha about the two rakahs after Asr, and she said, "The Prophet ﷺ used to pray two rakahs after Dhuhr, but he was once kept too busy to perform them until he had prayed Asr. When he was finished, he prayed them in my house, and he never abandoned them until he died."Abdullah bin Abu Qays said, "I asked Abu Hurayrah about this, and he replied, 'We used to do it, then we stopped.'"

عن عبد الله بن أبي قيس قال

سألت عائشة عن الركعتين بعد العصر فقالت كان النبي ﷺ يصلي ركعتين بعد الظهر فشغل عنهما حتى صلى العصر فلما فرغ ركعهما في بيتي فما تركهما حتى مات قال عبد الله بن أبي قيس فسألت أبا هريرة عنه قال قد كنا نفعله ثم تركناه
