Umm Habiba bint Jahsh, whom Abu Kamil called Umm Habib, came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. She had been suffering from continuous bleeding for seven years, so she complained about it to him and asked for his ruling on it.He said, "This is not menstruation, but rather a vein. So perform a complete washing and pray."She used to perform a complete washing for every prayer and then pray. She would sit in a basin, and the redness of the blood would rise above the water, then she would pray.

جاءت أم حبيبة بنت جحش قال أبو كامل أم حبيب إلى رسول الله ﷺ وكانت استحيضت سبع سنين فاشتكت ذلك إليه واستفتته فيه فقال ليس هذا بالحيضة ولكن هذا عرق فاغتسلي وصلي فكانت تغتسل لكل صلاة وتصلي وكانت تجلس في مركن فتعلو حمرة الدم الماء ثم تصلي
