I was with Umar bin Abdul-Aziz during his caliphate, and Arak bin Malik was also present. Umar said, "I have not faced the qiblah nor turned my back to it while urinating or defecating for such and such a length of time."Irak responded, "Ayesha told me that when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ heard what people were saying about this matter, he ordered that his seat be turned to face the qiblah."
حدثنا علي بن عاصم قال خالد الحذاء أخبرني
كنت عند عمر بن عبد العزيز في خلافته قال وعنده عراك بن مالك فقال عمر ما استقبلت القبلة ولا استدبرتها ببول ولا غائط منذ كذا وكذا فقال عراك حدثتني عائشة أن رسول الله ﷺ لما بلغه قول الناس في ذلك أمر بمقعدته فاستقبل بها القبلة
