Ayesha reported,

It was said to al-Ashtar, "Are you the one who tried to kill my nephew?"He replied, "I was eager to kill him, and he was eager to kill me."She said, "Do you not know what the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said? 'The blood of no man is lawful except for one who apostatizes, or abandons Islam, or commits adultery after marriage, or kills a soul without right.'"
