We said to Ayesha, "Among us are two men from the companions of the Prophet ﷺ. One of them hastens to break the fast and delays the predawn meal, while the other delays breaking the fast and hastens the predawn meal."Ayesha asked, "Which of them is the one who hastens to break the fast and delays the predawn meal?"I replied, "It is Abdullah."She said, "This is exactly what the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to do."
حدثنا محمد بن جعفر حدثنا شعبة عن سليمان قال سمعت خيثمة يحدث
قلنا لعائشة إن فينا رجلين من أصحاب النبي ﷺ أحدهما يعجل الإفطار ويؤخر السحور والآخر يؤخر الإفطار ويعجل السحور قال فقالت عائشة أيهما الذي يعجل الإفطار ويؤخر السحور قال فقلت هو عبد الله فقالت كذا كان يصنع رسول الله ﷺ
