When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ wanted to bathe, he would begin with his hands and wash them. Then he would pour water with his right hand onto his left and wash his private parts. Once he had cleaned himself, he would rub his hand against the wall, then wash it, then turn to perform ablution and pour water over himself.
