Ayesha reported,

There was a Makhzumi woman who used to borrow goods and then deny having taken them. The Prophet ﷺ ordered that her hand be cut off. Her family went to Usama bin Zayd and spoke with him, so Usama spoke to the Prophet ﷺ on her behalf.The Prophet ﷺ said to him, "Usama, are you interceding with me regarding one of the prescribed punishments of Allah ?"Then the Prophet ﷺ stood up to address the people and said, "Those who came before you were destroyed because when a noble person among them stole, they let him go, but when a weak person among them stole, they carried out the punishment on him. By the One in whose hand my soul is, if Fatimah, the daughter of Muhammad, were to steal, I would cut off her hand."So the hand of the Makhzumi woman was cut off.

عن عائشة قالت

كانت امرأة مخزومية تستعير المتاع وتجحده فأمر النبي ﷺ بقطع يدها فأتى أهلها أسامة بن زيد فكلموه فكلم أسامة النبي ﷺ فقال له النبي ﷺ يا أسامة لا أراك تكلمني في حد من حدود الله عز وجل ثم قام النبي ﷺ خطيبا فقال إنما هلك من كان قبلكم بأنه إذا سرق فيهم الشريف تركوه وإذا سرق فيهم الضعيف قطعوه والذي نفسي بيده لو كانت فاطمة بنت محمد لقطعت يدها فقطع يد المخزومية
