The Messenger of Allah ﷺ, when in a state of major ritual impurity, would have a vessel of water placed before him. He would pour water over his hands and wash them before putting them into the vessel. Then he would put his right hand into the vessel and pour water with it onto his left hand to wash his private parts. Then he would rinse his mouth and nose three times, wash his face and forearms, then scoop three handfuls of water and pour them over his head, after which he would bathe his entire body.
