The Prophet ﷺ tore meat from a shoulder with his teeth, then prayed without performing ablution.
حدثنا عفان حدثنا همام بن يحيى عن قتادة عن يحيى بن يعمر
أن النبي ﷺ انتهس من كتف ثم صلى ولم يتوضأ
Its isnad is sahih. Yahya bin Yamar Basri was a reliable tabii, well known. Ibn Hibban said, "He was among the most eloquent people of his time and the most knowledgeable of them in language, along with intense piety." He served as judge of Marw, and he learned grammar from Abu Aswad Duali. Bukhari gave his biography in Al-Kabir 4/2/311–312.Yamar is spelled with a fatha on the ya, a sakin on the ayn, and a fatha on the mim, though a damma on the mim is also permissible.This hadith is a repetition of 2467.
