The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to say, "Seek refuge with Allah from Satan the accursed, from his prodding, his puffing, and his spitting."They asked, "Messenger of Allah, what are his prodding, his puffing, and his spitting?"He replied, "His prodding is this madness that seizes the children of Adam, his puffing is arrogance, and his spitting is poetry."
قال وكان رسول الله ﷺ يقول تعوذوا بالله من الشيطان الرجيم من همزه ونفخه ونفثه قالوا يا رسول الله وما همزه ونفخه ونفثه قال أما همزه فهذه الموتة التي تأخذ بني آدم وأما نفخه فالكبر وأما نفثه فالشعر
