Whenever the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was told that someone was ill and could not eat, he would say, "Give them talbinah to sip, for by the One in whose hand is my soul, it cleanses the stomach of any of you just as one of you washes the dirt from his face with water."

كان رسول الله ﷺ إذا قيل له إن فلانا وجع لا يطعم الطعام قال عليكم بالتلبينة فحسوه إياها فوالذي نفسي بيده إنها لتغسل بطن أحدكم كما يغسل أحدكم وجهه بالماء من الوسخ
