Abdullah bin Abbas reported,

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ, narrating from his Lord, said, "Your Lord is Most Merciful. Whoever intends a good deed but does not do it, a good deed is recorded for him. If he carries it out, it is recorded for him as ten, up to seven hundred, up to many times more. Whoever intends an evil deed but does not do it, a good deed is recorded for him. If he carries it out, it is recorded as a single sin, or Allah erases it. None is destroyed before Allah Almighty except one who is utterly ruined."

عن ابن عباس

عن رسول الله ﷺ فيما روى عن ربه قال قال رسول الله ﷺ إن ربكم تبارك وتعالى رحيم من هم بحسنة فلم يعملها كتبت له حسنة فإن عملها كتبت له عشرة إلى سبع مائة إلى أضعاف كثيرة ومن هم بسيئة فلم يعملها كتبت له حسنة فإن عملها كتبت له واحدة أو يمحوها الله ولا يهلك على الله تعالى إلا هالك
