Fatimah bint Utbah bin Rabia came to pledge allegiance to the Prophet ﷺ, and he took from her the pledge that "they will not associate anything with Allah, nor steal, nor commit adultery" [Mumtahanah 60:12], reciting the verse.She placed her hand on her head out of shyness, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was pleased by what he saw from her.Ayesha said, "Acknowledge it, woman. By Allah, we pledged on nothing but this."She replied, "Yes, then."So he accepted her pledge with the verse.
حدثنا عبد الرزاق أخبرنا معمر عن الزهري أو غيره عن عروة
جاءت فاطمة بنت عتبة بن ربيعة تبايع النبي ﷺ فأخذ عليها {أن لا يشركن بالله شيئا ولا يسرقن ولا يزنين} الآية قالت فوضعت يدها على رأسها حياء فأعجب رسول الله ﷺ ما رأى منها فقالت عائشة أقري أيتها المرأة فوالله ما بايعنا إلا على هذا قالت فنعم إذا فبايعها بالآية
Its isnad is sahih. Bazzar narrated it, 1/53, no. 77, and Haythami attributed it to him, 6/27, saying, "Its narrators are the narrators of the sahih."
