She was told that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had said, "Bad omens are found in three things, the woman, the house, and the riding animal."She became extremely angry, so much so that she nearly tore in two, with one half flying up to the sky and the other to the earth. She said, "It was only the people of the pre-Islamic era who used to take bad omens from such things."

يحدث أن رسول الله ﷺ قال إن الطيرة في المرأة والدار والدابة فغضبت غضبا شديدا فطارت شقة منها في السماء وشقة في الأرض فقالت إنما كان أهل الجاهلية يتطيرون من ذلك
Its isnad is sahih. Safiyya bint Harith is the mother of Talha al-Talhat, and she is trustworthy, her hadith appearing in the Sunan works. Ayesha stayed with her in Basra. The hadith was narrated by Abu Dawud 1/173 no. 641 in the chapter on prayer, Tirmidhi 2/215 no. 377, who graded it hasan, both in the chapter on prayer, Ibn Majah 1/214 no. 655 in the chapter on purification, and Ibn Khuzayma 1/380 no. 775.
