The Messenger of Allah ﷺ had appointed a time for Jibreel to come to him, but Jibreel was delayed in coming at that time. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ went out and found him standing at the door.The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "I have been waiting for you according to your appointment."Jibreel replied, "There is a dog in the house, and we do not enter a house in which there is a dog or an image."There was a puppy beneath Ayesha's couch, so the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ordered that it be taken out, and it was removed. Then, when morning came, he ordered that dogs be killed.
حدثنا يزيد قال أخبرنا محمد يعني ابن عمرو عن أبي سلمة
واعد رسول الله ﷺ جبريل في ساعة أن يأتيه فيها فراث عليه أن يأتيه فيها فخرج رسول الله ﷺ فوجده بالباب قائما فقال رسول الله ﷺ إني انتظرتك لميعادك فقال إن في البيت كلبا ولا ندخل بيتا فيه كلب ولا صورة وكان تحت سرير عائشة جرو كلب فأمر به رسول الله ﷺ فأخرج ثم أمر بالكلاب حين أصبح فقتلت
