The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade public bathhouses for both men and women. He later permitted men to use them while wearing waist-wraps, but did not grant the same permission to women.
حدثنا وكيع قال حدثنا حماد بن سلمة عن عبد الله بن شداد عن أبي عذرة رجل كان أدرك النبي ﷺ
نهى رسول الله ﷺ عن الحمامات للرجال والنساء ثم رخص للرجال في المآزر ولم يرخص للنساء
