We used to prepare a date infusion for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in the morning, placing it in a waterskin without covering it tightly or adding any sediment to it. When evening came, he would have his supper and drink it with his meal. If anything was left over, I would empty it out or pour it away, then we would wash the waterskin and prepare a fresh infusion in it for the evening. When morning came, he would have his breakfast and drink it with his meal. If anything was left over, I would pour it out or empty it, then the waterskin would be washed.Someone asked him, "Was the waterskin washed twice in this routine?"He replied, "Twice."
