Ayesha reported,

Aishah reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ recited this verse, "He is the One who has revealed to you the Book. Out of it are verses that are firm in meaning, which are the principal of the Book, and others that are ambiguous. Now those who have crookedness in their hearts go after the ambiguous ones" [Aal Imran 3:7], until he finished it. Then he said, "Allah has named them, so when you see them, beware of them."

أن رسول الله ﷺ تلا هذه الآية {هو الذي أنزل عليك الكتاب منه آيات محكمات هن أم الكتاب وأخر متشابهات فأما الذين في قلوبهم زيغ} حتى فرغ منها قال قد سماهم الله عز وجل فإذا رأيتموهم فاحذروهم
