Ayesha said, "Whoever washes a deceased person and fulfills the trust in doing so," meaning that he does not disclose what he sees of the body during that, "becomes free of his sins as on the day his mother bore him."She said that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Let the closest of his family take charge of washing him, if he knows how. If he does not know how, then let one of you who you consider to have a measure of piety or trustworthiness take charge of him."

قالت عائشة من غسل ميتا فأدى فيه الأمانة يعني أن لا يفشي عليه ما يكون منه عند ذلك كان من ذنوبه كيوم ولدته أمه قالت فقال رسول الله ﷺ وليله أقرب أهله منه إن كان يعلم فإن كان لا يعلم فليله منكم من ترون أن عنده حظا من ورع أو أمانة
