The Prophet ﷺ never slept, whether by night or by day, then woke up without using the tooth-stick.
حدثنا عفان قال حدثنا همام قال حدثنا علي بن زيد قال حدثتني أم محمد
أن النبي ﷺ كان لا يرقد ليلا ولا نهارا فيستيقظ إلا تسوك
Its isnad is hasan, on account of Ali bin Zayd, and the hadith was narrated by Abu Dawud 1/15, no. 57, and Bayhaqi 1/39, both in the chapter on purification.
