Ayesha reported,

Whenever the Prophet ﷺ mentioned Khadijah, he would praise her warmly and speak highly of her. One day I grew jealous and said, "How often you mention her, that toothless old woman with red gums! Allah has replaced her for you with someone better."He replied, "Allah has not given me anyone better than her. She believed in me when the people disbelieved, she trusted me when the people called me a liar, she shared her wealth with me when the people withheld from me, and Allah granted me children through her when He withheld the children of other women from me."

حدثنا علي بن إسحاق أخبرنا عبد الله قال أخبرنا مجالد عن الشعبي عن مسروق

عن عائشة قالت

كان النبي ﷺ إذا ذكر خديجة أثنى عليها فأحسن الثناء قالت فغرت يوما فقلت ما أكثر ما تذكرها حمراء الشدق قد أبدلك الله عز وجل بها خيرا منها قال ما أبدلني الله عز وجل خيرا منها قد آمنت بي إذ كفر بي الناس وصدقتني إذ كذبني الناس وواستني بمالها إذ حرمني الناس ورزقني الله عز وجل ولدها إذ حرمني أولاد النساء
