Ayesha reported,

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ would pray for long stretches of the night standing and for long stretches sitting.I asked, "How did he do that?"She replied, "When he recited standing, he would bow from a standing position, and when he recited sitting, he would bow from a sitting position."

كان رسول الله ﷺ يصلي ليلا طويلا قائما وليلا طويلا جالسا قلت فكيف كان يصنع قالت كان إذا قرأ قائما ركع قائما وإذا قرأ جالسا ركع جالسا
