The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade that any living creature be made into a target.
حدثنا أبو أحمد حدثنا العلاء بن صالح حدثنا عدي بن ثابت عن سعيد بن جبير
نهى رسول الله ﷺ أن يتخذ شيء فيه الروح غرضا
Its isnad is sahih. It is an abridgment of 2474. "The thing" appears in H as "a thing," which is an error, we have corrected it from K.
