Ibn Zubayr said to me, "Tell me some of what Umm Muiminin used to confide to you, for there are things she shared with you that she kept hidden from others."I said, "She told me a tradition whose beginning I have memorized. She said that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Were it not that your people are recent in their abandonment of the Days of Ignorance,'" or he said, "of disbelief, 'I would have demolished the Kaabah and given it two doors at ground level, one through which people enter and another through which they exit.'"Ibn Zubayr said, "I shall do exactly that."Abu Ishaq said, "And I saw it that way myself."
حدثنا أبو كامل قال حدثنا زهير قال حدثنا أبو إسحاق
قال لي ابن الزبير حدثني بعض ما كانت تسر إليك أم المؤمنين فرب شيء كانت تحدثك به تكتمه الناس قال قلت لقد حدثتني حديثا حفظت أوله قالت قال رسول الله ﷺ لولا أن قومك حديث عهدهم بجاهلية أو قال بكفر قال يقول ابن الزبير لنقضت الكعبة فجعلت لها بابين في الأرض بابا يدخل منه وبابا يخرج منه قال أبو إسحاق فأنا رأيتها كذلك
