A woman came to me with her two daughters asking for something. She found nothing with me except a single date, which I gave to her. She took it, split it into two pieces between her two daughters, and did not eat any of it herself. Then she got up and left with her two daughters.The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then came in, and I told him what had happened. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever is tested with daughters in any way and treats them well, they will be a shield for him from the Fire."
حدثنا بشر بن شعيب قال حدثني أبي عن الزهري قال حدثني عبد الله بن أبي بكر بن حزم أن عروة بن الزبير أخبره أن
جاءت امرأة ومعها ابنتان لها تسألني فلم تجد عندي شيئا غير تمرة واحدة فأعطيتها إياها فأخذتها فشقتها باثنين بين ابنتيها ولم تأكل منها شيئا ثم قامت فخرجت هي وابنتاها فدخل علي رسول الله ﷺ فحدثته حديثها فقال رسول الله ﷺ من ابتلي من البنات بشيء فأحسن إليهن كن له سترا من النار
