Its chain is daif, because of the unknown identity of the one who reported to Ibn Munkadir. It is found in Majma al-Zawaid 5:74, where it says, Ahmad, Bazzar, and Tabarani reported it, and the men of Ahmad's chain are the men of the Sahih, except that Ibn Munkadir said, "I was told, on the authority of Ibn Abbas." In Tabarani's chain is Yazid bin Abu Fakhita, whom I do not know, while the rest of his men are reliable.In Tarikh al-Kabir by Bukhari, 1/1/129, in the entry on Muhammad bin Abdullah, it says, Ismail said to us, "My brother told me, on the authority of Sulayman, on the authority of Suhayl bin Abu Salih, on the authority of Muhammad bin Abdullah, on the authority of his father, that the Prophet ﷺ said, 'A habitual wine-drinker is like a worshipper of idols.'" And Farwa said to me, "Muhammad bin Sulayman told us, on the authority of Suhayl, on the authority of his father, on the authority of Abu Hurairah, that the Prophet ﷺ said the same." But the hadith of Abu Hurairah on this matter is not sound.
