The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "By the One in whose hand my soul rests, they are weeping over him while he is being punished in his grave for his sins."
حدثنا عبد الله قال وجدت هذا الحديث في كتاب أبي بخط يده حدثنا عبيد الله بن محمد التيمي وهو العيشي قال أخبرنا حماد عن هشام بن عروة عن عروة
أن رسول الله ﷺ قال والذي نفسي بيده إنهم ليبكون عليه وإنه ليعذب في قبره بذنبه
Its isnad is sahih. Ubaydullah bin Muhammad Taymi Aishi, so named after Ayesha bint Talha, is a trustworthy and virtuous man among the well-known narrators, and his hadith appears in the Sunan works. This hadith has already appeared at 24183, and Abdullah bin Ahmad transmits this hadith by finding it in writing (wijadah).
