Ayesha reported,

I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ placing his hands on the mane of a horse while speaking with a man.She said, "I saw you placing your hands on the mane of Dihya Kalbi's horse while speaking with him."He asked, "You saw that?"She replied, "Yes."He said, "That was Jibreel , and he sends you greetings of peace."She said, "And upon him be peace and the mercy of Allah and His blessings. May Allah reward him well as a companion and a guest, for he is the best of companions and the best of guests."Sufyan said, "By 'guest' is meant a visitor."

عن عائشة قالت

رأيت رسول الله ﷺ واضعا يديه على معرفة فرس وهو يكلم رجلا قلت رأيتك واضعا يديك على معرفة فرس دحية الكلبي وأنت تكلمه قال ورأيت قالت نعم قال ذاك جبريل عليه السلام وهو يقرئك السلام قالت وعليه السلام ورحمة الله وبركاته جزاه الله خيرا من صاحب ودخيل فنعم الصاحب ونعم الدخيل قال سفيان الدخيل الضيف
