On the day of the Trench, the Muslims killed one of the polytheists. The polytheists then sent a messenger to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ offering to pay blood-money to recover the corpse.The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "He is filthy, his blood-money is filthy, and his corpse is filthy."So he let them have him without payment.
