Ayesha reported,

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ remained for six months feeling as though something was coming over him when nothing actually was. Then two angels came to him. One sat at his head and the other at his feet. One of them said to the other, "What is wrong with him?"The other replied, "He has been bewitched."The first asked, "Who bewitched him?"The other answered, "Labid bin al-Asam."The first asked, "With what?"The other replied, "With a comb and the hair caught in it, placed inside the spathe of a male date palm, buried beneath a stone at the bottom of the well of Dharwan."The Prophet ﷺ then woke from his sleep and said, "Ayesha, do you not see that Allah has informed me of what I asked Him about?"He went to the well and ordered that it be uncovered, and the items were brought out. He said, "This is the well I was shown. By Allah, its water looked like an infusion of henna, and its palm tops looked like the heads of devils."Ayesha said, "If only you had," meaning that he should have made it public. He replied, "By Allah, Allah has cured me, and I dislike stirring up evil among people because of it."
