Ayesha reported that she had borrowed a necklace from Asma and lost it. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent some men to search for it, and they found it. The time for prayer came upon them while they had no water, so they prayed without performing ablution. They complained about this to the Prophet ﷺ, and Allah revealed the verse permitting tayammum.Usayd bin Hudayr said to Ayesha, "May Allah reward you with goodness. By Allah, no matter has befallen you that you disliked except that Allah made it a source of good for you and for the Muslims."
