Ayesha reported,

Sawdah went out one night to relieve herself after the verse of veiling had been revealed concerning the wives of the Prophet. She was a tall, large woman who stood out among other women. Umar happened to come across her, recognized her, and called out, "Sawdah, by Allah, you cannot hide yourself from us when you go out. Think about how you go out or what you do."She turned back and returned to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while he was eating his evening meal, with a bone in his hand. She told him what Umar had said to her. Then revelation came down upon him, and when it lifted, the bone was still in his hand. He said, "Permission has been granted to you to go out for your needs."
