Ayesha reported,

Umm Salama and Umm Habiba mentioned a church they had seen in Abyssinia which contained images. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When a righteous man among those people died, they would build a place of worship over his grave and paint these images in it. Those are the worst of creation in the sight of Allah on the Day of Resurrection."My father said that Waki said, "They were having a discussion in the presence of the Prophet ﷺ during his illness, and Umm Salama and Umm Habiba mentioned a church they had seen in the land of Abyssinia."

أن أم حبيبة وأم سلمة ذكرتا كنيسة رأينها بالحبشة فيها تصاوير فقال رسول الله ﷺ إن أولئك إذا كان فيهم الرجل الصالح فمات بنوا على قبره مسجدا وصوروا فيه تلك الصور أولئك شرار الخلق عند الله عز وجل يوم القيامة قال أبي قال وكيع إنهم تذاكروا عند النبي ﷺ في مرضه فذكرت أم سلمة وأم حبيبة كنيسة رأينها في أرض الحبشة
