Amir reported,

Masruq came to Ayesha and asked, "Mother of the Believers, did Muhammad ﷺ see his Lord?"She replied, "Glory be to Allah, my hair stands on end at what you have just said. Where do you stand regarding three matters? Whoever tells you any of them is lying.Whoever tells you that Muhammad ﷺ saw his Lord is lying." Then she recited, "No vision can grasp Him, but His grasp is over all vision" [Anam 6:103], and "It is not given to any human being that Allah should speak to him except by revelation, or from behind a veil" [Shura 42:51]."And whoever tells you what will happen tomorrow is lying." Then she recited, "Indeed, with Allah lies the knowledge of the Hour. He sends down the rain, and He knows what is in the wombs" [Luqman 31:34], reciting this verse."And whoever tells you that Muhammad ﷺ concealed anything is lying." Then she recited, "Messenger, convey what has been sent down to you from your Lord" [Maidah 5:67]."But he did see Jibreel in his true form twice."

عامر قال

أتى مسروق عائشة فقال يا أم المؤمنين هل رأى محمد ﷺ ربه قالت سبحان الله لقد قف شعري لما قلت أين أنت من ثلاث من حدثكهن فقد كذب من حدثك أن محمدا ﷺ رأى ربه فقد كذب ثم قرأت {لا تدركه الأبصار وهو يدرك الأبصار} {وما كان لبشر أن يكلمه الله إلا وحيا أو من وراء حجاب} ومن أخبرك بما في غد فقد كذب ثم قرأت {إن الله عنده علم الساعة وينزل الغيث ويعلم ما في الأرحام} هذه الآية ومن أخبرك أن محمدا ﷺ كتم فقد كذب ثم قرأت {يا أيها الرسول بلغ ما أنزل إليك من ربك} ولكنه رأى جبريل في صورته مرتين
