Abu Salama reported,

Ayesha reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, during the illness in which he died, said, "Ayesha, what did you do with the gold?"She brought between five and seven, or eight or nine, dinars. He began turning them over in his hand and said, "What would Muhammad think of Allah if he were to meet Him with these in his possession? Spend them."

قالت عائشة قال رسول الله ﷺ في مرضه الذي مات فيه يا عائشة ما فعلت الذهب فجاءت ما بين الخمسة إلى السبعة أو الثمانية أو التسعة فجعل يقلبها بيده ويقول ما ظن محمد بالله عز وجل لو لقيه وهذه عنده أنفقيها
