Ayesha reported,

Sufyan said, I heard a long hadith from him, but I only remember a little of its beginning.We came in to see Ayesha and said, "Mother of the Believers, tell us about the illness of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ."She said, "He fell ill and began to puff out breaths, and we likened his puffing to the puffing of someone eating Zabib. He used to rotate among his wives, and when he fell into the illness, he asked their permission to stay in Ayesha's house and have them come to him there. They granted him permission. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then came in leaning between two men, one of them being Abbas, with his feet dragging along the ground."Ibn Abbas said, "Did I not tell you who the other man was?"The narrator said, "No."Ibn Abbas said, "It was Ali."

حدثنا سفيان عن الزهري عن عبيد الله

عن عائشة قال

سفيان سمعت منه حديثا طويلا ليس أحفظه من أوله إلا قليلا دخلنا على عائشة فقلنا يا أم المؤمنين أخبرينا عن مرض رسول الله ﷺ قالت اشتكى فجعل ينفث فجعلنا نشبه نفثه نفث آكل الزبيب وكان يدور على نسائه فلما اشتكى شكواه استأذنهن أن يكون في بيت عائشة ويدرن عليه فأذن له فدخل رسول الله ﷺ بين رجلين متكئا عليهما أحدهما عباس ورجلاه تخطان في الأرض قال ابن عباس أفما أخبرتك من الآخر قال لا قال هو علي
