Ayesha reported,

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came in upon me while I had screened off a section with a curtain that had figures on it. When he saw it, his face changed color. (At one point the narrator said, his face altered.) He tore it down with his own hand and said, "The people most severely punished by Allah on the Day of Resurrection are those who imitate the creation of Allah, Mighty and Majestic," or he said, "those who liken."Sufyan said, "They mean the same thing."
