Whenever news was slow to reach him, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ would recite this line of Tarafah, "And news will come to you from one you did not send for provisions."
حدثنا هشيم قال أنبأنا مغيرة عن الشعبي
كان رسول الله ﷺ إذا استراث الخبر تمثل فيه ببيت طرفة ويأتيك بالأخبار من لم تزود
