I used to braid the garlands for the sacrificial animals of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ with my own hands.Masruq said, "I could hear the clapping of her hands from behind the curtain as she narrated this." Then he would remain among us in a non-consecrated state.
حدثنا هشيم حدثنا إسماعيل بن أبي خالد عن الشعبي عن مسروق
كنت أفتل قلائد هدي رسول الله ﷺ بيدي قال مسروق فسمعت تصفيقها بيديها من وراء الحجاب وهي تحدث بذلك ثم تقيم فينا حلالا
Its isnad is sahih, its narrators are leading authorities.Masruq is Ibn Ajda Hamdani, whose kunya was Abu Ayesha, this is how he was known by it. He was among the trustworthy, jurist, devout followers of the Companions, and his hadith is found in the collections of all the major compilers.Bukhari related it, 3/542, no. 1698, and Muslim, 2/957, no. 359, and Abu Dawud, 2/147, no. 1757, and Tirmidhi, 3/242, no. 908, saying it is hasan sahih, and Nasai, 5/175, no. 2794, and Ibn Majah, 2/1034, all of them in the book on Hajj.
