The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "On the Day of Resurrection, I and a woman whose cheeks have darkened will be like these two," and he held up his index and middle fingers together. "She is a woman of noble standing and beauty who lost her husband and devoted herself to her orphaned children until they grew up and went their own way, or until they died."
حدثنا محمد بن بكر قال أنبأنا النهاس عن شداد أبي عمار
قال رسول الله ﷺ أنا وامرأة سفعاء الخدين كهاتين يوم القيامة وجمع بين أصبعيه السبابة والوسطى امرأة ذات منصب وجمال آمت من زوجها حبست نفسها على أيتامها حتى بانوا أو ماتوا
Its isnad is daif because of Nahhas bin Qahm. The hadith was narrated by Abu Dawud, 3/3814, no. 5149, in the chapter on the virtue of one who takes care of an orphan. Also by Abdul-Razzaq, 11/299, no. 20591, in al-Musannaf, by Bukhari in Adab al-Mufrad, no. 141, and by Tabarani in al-Kabir, 18/56, no. 103.The hadith is also supported by the previously mentioned hadith, "I and the guardian of the orphan," at 23718.
