I saw Abu Rafi come to Hasan bin Ali while he was praying with his hair tied up in a knot. He either untied it himself or forbade him from doing so, and said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ saw a man praying with his hair knotted up and forbade him from doing that," or he said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade a man from praying while his hair is tied up in a knot."
حدثنا محمد بن جعفر، حدثنا شعبة، عن مخول،
رأيت أبا رافع جاء إلى الحسن بن علي وهو يصلي، قد عقص شعره، فأطلقه أو نهاه عن ذلك، وقال: أن رسول الله ﷺ رأى رجلا يصلي وقد عقص رأسه، فنهاه، أو قال: نهى رسول الله ﷺ أن يصلي الرجل وهو عاقص شعره.
