Abu Hurairah used to relate from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ that he said, "There is an hour on Friday..." and he mentioned the hadith.I said to myself, "By Allah, I should go to Abu Saeed and ask him about it." So I went and he mentioned the hadith. Then I left him and went in to Abdullah bin Salam and asked him about it.He said, "Allah created Adam on Friday, sent him down to the earth on Friday, took his soul on Friday, and on it the Hour will arise. So it is the last hour."Siraj said in his version, "It is his last hour."I said, "But the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said it is during a prayer, and that is not a time of prayer."He replied, "Do you not know that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Whoever waits for the prayer is in prayer'?"I said, "Of course. By Allah, that is it, that is it."
حدثنا يونس وسريج قال حدثنا فليح عن سعيد بن الحارث
كان أبو هريرة يحدث عن رسول الله ﷺ أنه قال إن في الجمعة ساعة فذكر الحديث قلت والله لو جئت أبا سعيد فسألته فذكر الحديث ثم خرجت من عنده فدخلت على عبد الله بن سلام فسألت عنها فقال خلق الله آدم يوم الجمعة وأهبط إلى الأرض يوم الجمعة وقبضه يوم الجمعة وفيه تقوم الساعة فهي آخر ساعة وقال سريج فهي آخر ساعته فقلت إن رسول الله ﷺ قال في صلاة وليست بساعة صلاة قال أولم تعلم أن رسول الله ﷺ قال منتظر الصلاة في صلاة قلت بلى هي والله هي
