His grandfather embraced Islam, but his wife refused to do so. He brought along a young son of his who had not yet reached puberty. The Prophet ﷺ seated the father on one side and the mother on the other, then gave the boy a choice, saying, "Allah, guide him." The boy went to his father.

أن جده أسلم وأبت امرأته أن تسلم فجاء بابن له صغير لم يبلغ قال فأجلس النبي ﷺ الأب هاهنا والأم هاهنا ثم خيره وقال اللهم اهده فذهب إلى أبيه
