Abdullah bin Umar came to us in Banu Muawiya, a village belonging to the Ansar, and said to me, "Do you know where the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed in this mosque of yours?"I said, "Yes," and pointed out a particular spot to him.He then asked, "Do you know what three supplications he made there?"I said, "Yes."He said, "Tell me what they were."I said, "He prayed that they would not be overcome by an enemy from outside themselves, and that He would not destroy them by years of famine, and these two were granted to him. He also prayed that He would not place their violence among themselves, but this was withheld from him."He said, "You have spoken the truth. So strife will continue until the Day of Resurrection."
قال قرأت على عبد الرحمن بن مهدي: مالك عن عبد الله بن عبد الله بن جابر بن عتيك
جاءنا عبد الله بن عمر في بني معاوية قرية من قرى الأنصار فقال لي هل تدري أين صلى رسول الله ﷺ من مسجدكم هذا فقلت نعم فأشرت له إلى ناحية منه فقال هل تدري ما الثلاث التي دعا بهن فيه فقلت نعم قال فأخبرني بهم فقلت دعا بأن لا يظهر عليهم عدوا من غيرهم ولا يهلكهم بالسنين فأعطيهما ودعا بأن لا يجعل بأسهم بينهم فمنعنيها قال صدقت فلا يزال الهرج إلى يوم القيامة
